We are getting a lot of phone calls from our clients because telemarketers are calling them and saying that Donald Trump changed their Medicare plan and so they need to pick a new one.
This is not true.
The “Big, Beautiful Bill” did make changes to Medicare, but those changes will not take effect until the end of 2026, so you do not need to change your Medicare plan today.
The health insurance companies are working on figuring out how the changes that are coming to Medicare, and Medicaid, will impact the plans they offer, so you will see changes to plans offered in 2026 and 2027.
But nothing has changed for the plan you have right now in 2025.
Medicare Annual Enrollment starts on October 15, 2025, and runs through December 7, 2025.
